Series of Hybrid IA talks announced by Yorkshire IHS

The Yorkshire Archaeological & Historical Society, Industrial History Section has published its programme of talks for October 2021 to April 2022 and is intending to make them all hybrid talks:

October 23rd, Dr Michael O’Grady, Reservoir Railways – Visualising the Construction of Hebden Bridge’s Reservoirs (1870 – 1935)

November 20th, Rob Shorland-Ball, Rosedale Railway for Iron and Steel Making in 19th Century Teesside and County Durham

December 18th, Chris Henderson, Trustee of the Barnes Wallis Foundation, Warships to Spaceships – The Life and Work of Sir Barnes Wallis

January 29th 2022, Roger Thomas, An Introduction to the Modern Military Archaeology of the North York Moors

February 19th, Professor Ian Richardson, Joseph Aspdin’s Patent Portland Cement

March 19th, Eddie Downes, An Interactive History of Coal Mining in Yorkshire

April 23rd, AGM and members’ presentations
