Organised jointly by the Greenwich Industrial History Society and the AIA
We are hoping to attract residents from the area who would like to learn more about the many and varied aspects of Industrial Heritage in Greenwich as well as members of the two societies.
The day will begin with an introduction to IA in Greenwich followed by speakers on a variety of topics such as: Ship building, the Royal Dockyards, Penn engineering works, The Royal Observatory, The Royal Arsenal and the communications industry.
In the afternoon we hope to arrange visits to the Alcatel factory at Enderby’s Wharf (see separate article) and the Crossness Pumping Station.
