Norfolk IAS – China’s First Railway

A Zoom lecture by AIA Treasurer John Jones to the Norfolk Industrial Archaeology Society about the Shanghai and Woosung Railway.

The railway was provided by Ransomes and Rapier of Ipswich, who made the track, locomotives, wagons and much of the other equipment required.
