The Breedon Cement works at Hope in the Derbyshire Peak District was established in 1929. The talk will cover the history of the works, including its conception, development and redevelopment over the last 90+years. The talk will include a brief introduction to the wider Breedon Group, cement manufacturing and also a few asides regarding the industry more generally.

This is a ‘hybrid’ meeting – you can attend in person at St Mary’s Church Hall, Darley Lane, Derby DE1 3AX or via Zoom.
