Berkshire IAG – Lawrence Cameron’s pictures
David Cliffe was entrusted with over 300 slides taken in the Berkshire area, with a view to cataloguing them for Reading Central Library and making scans viewable on the library’s website. The scanning is now done and some tweaking has been undertaken to improve contrast and colour balance here and there.
Subjects include gasworks, power stations, water works, foundries, brick works, watermills, maltings, breweries, railway stations and installations and railway locomotives. Lawrence was a former BIAG member who was busy taking pictures in the 1970s and 1980s and David will put together a presentation of some of the best of them.
